Rob and I walked a little higher than the rest of the group up a ridge next to Kang Yatze (6400m) and managed (with much shortness of breath and headaches) to get to 5516m. This is over 18,000ft.
Everest base camp is 5380m. What a view! The rest of the group got to 5180m the day after - an amazing achievment.
Wow, Mr Packham! I thought I was really proud last week when you completed your project, but this achievement has topped everything. You, Jo and Mr Hughes have supported (and no doubt encouraged) our children to reach heights that most of us have never dreamed of. THANK YOU. xx
